Crews have removed 68 mobile homes throughout Vermont that were heavily damaged from Irene-related flooding at no cost to the homeowners.

The cost was covered by a deal worked out with Associated General Contractors of Vermont and funds raised by the Vermont Community Foundation and the Vermont Long Term Disaster Recovery Group.

Lt. Gov. Phil Scott said five homes still need to be removed from River Run Park in Berlin, which also was flooded in May.
