The Town Hall Theater in Middlebury is getting a financial boost of $150,000. The grant was included in the Omnibus Appropriations Act and was announced on Thursday by Vermont Senator Jim Jeffords.
The project to restore the theater began six years ago and has a goal of raising $2.5 million. A spokesman for the theater says the new grant will go a long way toward finishing the project.
