The Governor of Vermont and the Premier of Quebec are spending the day in Chittenden County, talking about the links that span the border; a good forecast for the apple crop, in most parts of Vermont; a Select Board member from the southern Vermont town of Newfane will be in Washington this weekend, coaching activists on how to draft local resolutions urging the impeachment of President Bush; Vermont Senator Jim Jeffords has spent much of his long career working on environmental issues, and is now shepherding a bill that would set new greener standards for construction procedures.
