Top stories developing across the region at the noon hour; the Vermont Public Interest Research group is holding a news conference at the Capitol in Montpelier, to promote its effort to collect old computer parts from around Vermont; Vermont members of a national online liberal advocacy group, MoveOn.org, have pledged $153,000 to back Congressman Bernie Sanders’ run for the U.S. Senate; with the sentencing yesterday of former Fletcher Allen CEO William Boettcher in Federal Court for his part in misleading state officials about the hospital’s growth project, a page is turned in Fletcher Allen’s history; this morning the level of Lake Champlain was measured at a point above ninety nine feet.
