Brian Rooney’s conviction for the rape and murder of Michelle Gardner-Quinn will now go to the Vermont Supreme Court; the summer travel season begins today with the arrival of Memorial Day weekend; experts say Vermont is ahead of other states in trying to reform health care. But the state still faces challenges with how to pay for it; an energy efficiency campaign will be launched in the Burlington area this afternoon.
