Congressman Peter Welch says he’s going to push this afternoon for more oversight of contractors working overseas for the U.S. government; the maple sugaring season is slowing down around the state, and in some places it’s already over;  top state budget officials will get the word this afternoon about how much money economists think they’ll be able to spend next year; a Jericho man has been sentenced to ten to 20 years in jail for a drunken driving crash in which a West Swanton teenager was killed.
