A man allowed to have a limited amount of marijuana for medical purposes has been charged with possessing far more – nearly four pounds of marijuana at his Stowe restaurant, home and on a vacant lot.

As a member of the Vermont marijuana registry, Glenn Myer, 50, is allowed to have a limited amount of marijuana – two ounces, plus two mature plants and seven immature ones.

But police say they found 19 immature plants growing at Chez Claudine, the restaurant owned by Myer and his wife, 27 mature plants on a house lot in Morrisville, and nine at the couple’s home in Waterville.

Police say they also seized nearly four pounds of processed pot.

Glenn and Claudine Myer are scheduled to appear in court on the charges on Nov. 4.
