Federal prosecutors say they’ve charged a man with conspiring to bring New York prostitutes to Vermont farmworkers.

Fifty-three-year-old Alejandro Enrique Young-Hernandez, of Hyde Park, appeared in federal court in Burlington yesterday after being charged with conspiracy.

Prosecutors argue that he worked with 53-year-old Jose Tomas Flores-Rocha, who would transport women to the farms for encounters.

Flores-Rocha is an illegal immigrant who was arrested in March. He has since pleaded guilty to transporting a Mexican woman to Vermont for the purpose of prostitution. He’s awaiting sentencing.

If convicted, Young-Hernandez could get 10 years in prison.
