A Lyndon man has been charged with shooting and wounding his neighbors’ dogs.

Forty-three-year-old Jeffrey Keyworth has pleaded not guilty to two charges of animal cruelty.

Police say Keyworth shot and wounded his neighbor’s black Labrador retriever and walker hound after the dogs repeatedly came onto his land and bothered his three dogs.

If convicted, Keyworth faces up to a year in prison and a $1,000 fine on each charge.
