Rescuers say a skier lost overnight at Vermont’s Killington Resort has been found and is being evaluated at a hospital.
Forty-five-year-old Gustavo Oascar Iriarte, of Lyndhurst, N.J., was found on a snowmobile trail in Mendon around 1:30 p.m. Monday. He told Vermont State Police he was fine except for cold hands and toes and was taken to the hospital.
Iriarte was reported lost at 2:11 p.m. on Sunday.
Killington Ski Patrol members had talked to him by cell phone but then lost contact with him around 6:30 p.m.
Forecasters say temperatures dipped below zero in the mountains overnight.
Police also say three other lost skiers have been found: three at Pico on Monday and three others on Sunday who had skied off trails at Stowe Mountain Resort.
