Vermont lawmakers are going to consider using some of a three million dollar dairy aid package to help farmers whose barns collapsed under the weight of snow from Wednesday’s blizzard.

At least a dozen barns across the state collapsed, killing 21 cows.

Legislators plan to talk with Secretary of Agriculture Roger Allbee and other officials to see the best way to spend the dairy money.

Barns are known to have collapsed in Waitsfield, Weybridge, Salisbury, Craftsbury, Morristown, Hyde Park, East Hardwick, Franklin, Richford and South Burlington.
