Vermont’s U.S. senators have released their financial information. Senator Jim Jeffords earned $53,000 in royalties last year on two books he has written about his life and his decision to leave the Republican Party. That and some income from rental property brought the senator’s income up to $209,000 last year. Senator Patrick Leahy reported no earned income outside of his $154,000 salary as a senator. The senators were required to file financial disclosure forms on Monday covering the past year.
