Killington’s town manager is stepping down.
Kathleen Ramsay’s resignation comes as the resort town is trying to bail out its municipal golf course, Green Mountain National. The course is facing 5 million-dollars in debt.
On Tuesday, Killington’s select board agreed to hire a Hilton Head, South Carolina based golf course consultant to help the town market the course as the global golf industry is struggling with decreasing play and revenue.
The select board will hold a special meeting Thursday afternoon to develop a recruitment strategy and schedule.
