This week VPR is airing a six part series called Kingdom Comeback, which looks at the prospects for improving the economy of the Northeast Kingdom. The region deals with more unemployment and fewer opportunities than other parts of the state.
VPR’s John Dillon, Charlotte Albright and Steve Zind spent time talking to people about the economic hard times the Kingdom has faced and what’s being done to attract more jobs to the area.
VPR’s Steve Zind spoke with Vermont Edition about the series and some of the important issues facing the Northeast Kingdom.
