The Vermont State Colleges board of trustees has named a new president at Community College of Vermont.

Joyce Judy has served as interim president since last July, and she’s now been selected as the permanent president.

Judy was one of two finalists from a national search that drew more than 50 candidates. Longtime president Tim Donovan left to become chancellor of the Vermont State Colleges system.

Community College of Vermont has its administrative headquarters in Montpelier, and serves more than 10-thousand students a year from 12 locations across the state as well as online.

Judy has been at the school since 1983. She served as provost before last year’s appointment as interim president.
