Independent Vermont Senator Jim Jeffords is winding up a long and colorful career in Congress. He’s spending his last days on Capitol Hill revisiting some of the causes he’s pursued over the last two decades. On September 6, 2006 Jeffords addressed the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee about one of his hallmark issues as a lawmaker, establishing renewable sources of fuel.
