The Jay Peak Ski Resort has a new owner, but the faces in the front office won’t be changing much.

Longtime Jay Peak President Bill Stenger and partners bought the resort Stenger has run for years from Mont Saint Sauveur International Inc.

The Quebec-based company had owned Jay Peak since 1978.

Stenger says the sale will be a good thing for guests, employees, and Jay Peak stakeholders.

Stenger says several major capital improvements are in the offing, including a new slope side hotel, new lifts, improved snowmaking and the potential for trail reconfiguration.
