If you’re in retail, you don’t need to be told that the next few weeks are critical to your bottom line.

The period from Thanksgiving through Christmas is considered the Superbowl of shopping…but with the dreaded "r" word of recession dominating the news, retailers are worried about their team losing the big game.

Tasha Wallis is the Executive Director of the Vermont Retail Association. Wallis says store owners around Vermont are a resilient group of men and women who don’t cower easily, and they’ve taken steps to make shopping enticing for Vermonters even in these tough economic times.
