(Steve Delaney) The word went out in the middle of June from the Unadilla Theater in East Calais, Vermont. There will be no season for this year, for the first time in decades. Unadilla founder Bill Blachly made the announcement because his core of volunteers isn’t big enough this year to provide staff and casts for the theater.
But Blachly is bullish on the growth of theater companies around Vermont. I got him on the phone and asked what accounts for the growth of summer theater in Vermont.
