Each year, Vermont sets aside a special honor for an individual who’s donated extraordinary time and financial commitments to the community.

The Vermont Philanthropist of the year this year is 58-year-old Rick Davis, who helped establish the Permanent Fund that helps draw together community organizations throughout the state, and use their combined resources to help people in need.
