The sub-prime mortgage nightmare, oil prices at or around $100 a barrel, and talk of that "R" word — "recession" — have combined to make for a bleak economic outlook as 2008 gets underway.
Vermont held its Economic Outlook Conference this past Friday, and Richard Heaps was one of the organizers paying close attention.
