Interview: Patsy Kelso on the upcoming flu season

Fall is a celebrated time of year in Vermont, but it’s also the start of a more unpopular season, marked by influenza. And as kids head back to school with the flu season approaching there are heightened concerns this year because of the H1N1 virus, which in the spring made headlines as the improperly named "swine flu."

Patsy Kelso is the State Epidemiologist.  She spoke with VPR’s Mitch Wertleib about what to expect in the coming weeks.  Kelso says health officials are anticipating a pretty active flu season:
