The Vermont Drug Task Force just received $1.75 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Justice.

Senator Patrick Leahy says the funds will be used to combat increased drug activity in Vermont.

The task force has received federal funding since 2001, and has been credited with disrupting and dismantling trafficking networks throughout the state.

Senator Leahy spoke with Neal Charnoff about the program and said it relies on cooperation on a number of different fronts.
