Last week Senator Bernie Sanders welcomed the Ambassador of Finland to Vermont for a state tour. And while the ambassador was here Senator Sanders repeatedly extolled the virtues of Finnish society.

"Finland has one of the best K-12 educational systems in the world,"Senator Sanders was quoted as saying. He also touted the Finnish economyas one of the most competitive in the world, noted the nation’s policy ofuniversal health care, 40 days off for vacation and virtual elimination ofchildhood poverty.
