Some interesting facts about the town of Tinmouth: It’s the only place in the world with exactly that name, there are less than a thousand people living in the town, located just south of Rutland, and for more than 200 years, people in Tinmouth have relied on open-floor town meeting to decide town issues.

But that tradition could be coming to an end. This past Sunday, by a narrow margin, townspeople decided to switch to Australian ballot – a secret, paper voting system.

Marshall Squire is the town moderator in Tinmouth. He spoke with Mitch Wertlieb about the switch.
