(Mitch Wertlieb) The members of the Vermont Legislature get back to work on Tuesday, and there are a lot of far-reaching agenda items to consider for the new year – including jobs, permit reform, and health care to name a few. For some perspective on how the challenges – and times – have changed for Vermont lawmakers over the years, we turn to Republican Senator William Doyle. Doyle has served in the Vermont Senate since 1968 and is chairman of the Government Operations Committee. He’s also a professor of history and government at Johnson State College.
