There’s a certain irony to the fact that what made comedian Larry David famous was a hit TV show about nothing, and another called Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Because when you talk to his wife Laurie David, it’s immediately clear that her passion is most definitely about something, that something is pretty serious, and there’s no curbing her enthusiasm when she starts talking about it.

Laurie David is on a mission to stop global warming, and she’ll speak this evening at the University of Vermont about the various ways everyone can do their part.

Part of her effort was to help produce the Al Gore documentary An Inconvenient Truth , which has just been released on DVD with updates from its original theatrical screening. She spoke with Mitch Wertlieb about her speech at UVM.
