A robot has actually developed its own sense of self at the University of Vermont. And it uses that knowledge to overcome obstacles and complete tasks.
Work on this resilient robot earned Josh Bongard recognition from Technology Review Magazine as one of the world’s top innovators under the age of 35.
Bongard is an assistant professor in the University of Vermont’s Department of Computer Science. He spoke with VPR’s Mitch Wertlieb about the robot.
