Interview: Jobs decline in Vermont

(Mitch Wertlieb) The latest news on the state’s overall economic front is not good: a net loss of jobs was recorded last year in Vermont for the first time in a decade. The Vermont Department of Employment and Training released its employment and wages report for the year 2002 last week and it shows a loss of nearly 5,000 jobs, many of those in the manufacturing sector.
