The television landscape evolves with the premiere of “This American Life” on Showtime.

Host and producer Ira Glass started the radio series “This American Life” in 1995. With its unique approach to storytelling, it’s become one of public radio’s most popular and influential programs.

Ira Glass is now hoping he can change the vocabulary of storytelling on television.

He recently spoke with VPR’s Neal Charnoff.

“This American Life” airs Sunday nights at 8pm on Vermont Public Radio. The television series airs on Showtime.
