Interview: FDR’s ‘four freedoms’

Monday marks the anniversary of Franklin Roosevelt’s 1941 State of the Union address, a speech in which FDR envisioned his four freedoms. Victor Henningsen is chair of the History Department at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. He’ll be speaking Monday night at the Woodstock Historical Society on the subject of Roosevelt’s four freedoms. Dr. Henningsen, welcome to Morning Edition.
