Interview: Christine Foster on food demands at the Vermont Foodbank

A new report shows that hunger is on the rise in Vermont, and that more Vermonters are facing empty cupboards as winter approaches.

According to the U.S Department of Agriculture, more than 10 percent of the state’s households are struggling with hunger.

Joining us now is Christine Foster, the Interim Co-Chief Executive Officer of the Vermont Foodbank.

The Foodbank is the state’s largest hunger relief organization, with 270 partners that include food shelves, senior centers, shelters and after-school programs.
