If you’re still heading out to do some holiday shopping, there’s a message many local business owners have for you: “Buy local, or it’s Bye-Bye Local.” That’s the catch phrase for a concentrated effort by
local business owners to keep consumer spending in Vermont.
The grass-roots campaign is called Local First Vermont, and the chairman is Chris Morrow, owner of the independent Northshire Bookstore in Manchester Center, which is also a VPR underwriter.
He spoke with Mitch Wertlieb about the campaign.
