There is no war on terrorism, despite what you’ve been hearing ever since the attacks of September 11th six years ago. Charles Pena says what the U.S. really is struggling with is an un-war, and he’ll speak about what he says is a new strategy needed to win that difficult designation tonight in Brattleboro.
Pena’s new book is called “Winning the Un-War: A New Strategy for the War on Terrorism.” He spoke with VPR’s Mitch Wertlieb about the meaning of the term “Un-War”.
Note: Pena will be speaking at 7:30 tonight at the School for International Training in Brattleboro. The discussion is free and open to the public.
