Interview: Author David Hess on sustainable politics

David Hess will be the first to tell you that localism is no cure-all for the ills of globalization. He’s author of the book Localist Movements in a Global Economy, and says his research has concluded that localist movements can be a key ingredient in building what he calls a more democratic, just, and sustainable politics.

Hess is a professor at the Rensselaer Department of Science and Technology in Troy, NY, and is speaking tonight at Marlboro College. He says his talk will be focused on a few specific but also wide ranging themes:
