The Old Brick Church , a 175-year-old Williston landmark, has its bell tower back.

Six months after a lightning strike ignited a fire and led to other damage to the tower, crews hoisted a new bell into place yesterday.

Church trustee Jack Price says it’s like  “the candles on the cake” to have the bell tower back on top of the building, which was given to the town in 1963 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1964.

The project cost about $212,000 to complete.
