(Host) Democratic Governor John Lynch, who survived an anti-incumbent groundswell, is urging the new Republican majorities not to abandon policies that helped New Hampshire weather the recession better than most other states.

Lynch was inaugurated Thursday to a historic, fourth consecutive two-year term.

New Hampshire voters kept Lynch in charge of the executive branch, but swept out fellow Democrats in the Legislature. Lynch will have to work with super majorities of Republicans in the House and Senate. The five-member Executive Council also is now all Republican.

In his inaugural address, Lynch warned against making radical changes that hurt communities, business and the state’s neediest residents.
