The Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife is reminding anglers that all ice fishing shanties must be removed from the ice no later than this Sunday, March 30th.
Vermont law says shanties must be removed before the ice becomes unsafe or the last Sunday in March, whichever comes first.
The fine for leaving a fishing shanty on the ice can be up to $1,000.
