Hyde Park Receives Funds for New Fire Truck

The town of Hyde Park has been awarded $126,000 in federal funding to buy a new fire truck. The money was announced today by Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge.

Vermont has received millions of dollars worth of rescue equipment through the Homeland Security department. The latest round of grants brought roughly $19 million in equipment to Vermont. Eighty percent of that money is for local police, fire and rescue agencies.
