Hundreds of Vermonters are eligible for settlements with a home mortgage lender.
The attorney general’s office says Ameriquest Mortgage Company will split $360,000 among its Vermont customers.
The payments will settle a lawsuit in which the state charged that Ameriquest was following unfair and deceptive lending practices.
Notices are being mailed to the eligible consumers this week.
Consumers will receive between $200 and $2,300 on each eligible loan.
To qualify, they must complete claims forms and file them by September.
