Vermont’s commissioner of Housing and Community Affairs is leaving his post to return to the private sector.
John S. Hall of West Danville has been at the department since January 2003.
The Department of Housing and Community Affairs is responsible for the development of state housing policy and coordinates state and federal housing programs and funding.
The department also includes the Division for Historic Preservation.
Hall is a co-founder of Caledonia Supply Company, an auto parts and equipment wholesaler in St. Johnsbury. He has also served as a state representative and as the St. Johnsbury town manager.
