House bests Senate in milking contest

(Host) One highlight of this week’s Farm Show was the annual milking contest between the House and Senate Agriculture Committees. In the lighthearted “political pull” competition, politicians face off to see how much milk they can coax from a cow within 30 seconds.

Representative Brain Dunsmore from Georgia comes from a farm family. And his experience at the business end of a bovine gave the House team its winning edge.

(Contest announcer) “Brian Dunsmore, representing the pride of Franklin County! He has ten seconds to go five, four, three, two, one… Time!” (Crowd cheers.)

(Host) Dunsmore held up a frothy glass filled almost to the brim. The Senate contestants were not as skilled, although they promised to work just as hard for their agricultural constituents.
