Unionized service workers from North Adams Regional Hospital and hospital officials are back at the bargaining table today.

The talks have been stalled since last Thursday. Negotiations broke down over whether supervisors should have the right to send workers home without pay when the number of patients drops. The union says it will strike if an agreement isn’t reached by Saturday.

The hospital, which has patients and workers from Vermont, faces $4 million in operating shortfalls and $4 million in investment losses.
