Real estate professionals in Vermont’s largest county say home prices have dropped in the last year, but the lower prices now appear to be stimulating more sales.

Kathy Sweeten of the Northwestern Vermont Board of Realtors says that in February last year home prices in Chittenden County were about $319,000, but property wasn’t selling.

Now prices have dropped 6 percent to about $298,000 and homes have started to move.

She also says that lower priced condominiums are increasing in value and selling.
