Officials say a Connecticut man and his daughter are in good health after getting lost on a Vermont mountain.

State police say 59-year-old George Young and his 20-year-old daughter, MacKenzie Young, of Weston, Conn., were hiking Worcester Mountain on Saturday with the intention of hiking to the top and the coming down the Pinnacle Trail to Stowe.

Authorities say the pair missed the turn to the Pinnacle Trail and ended up on Hunger Mountain. They called for help about 7:20 p.m. when they began having trouble seeing the trail and trail markers.

Four rescuers from the Stowe Mountain Rescue team hiked up the mountain and found the hikers shortly before midnight. They reached the bottom of the mountain at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
