A missionary charged with abetting in the removal of a child from the United States in a high-profile custody case is headed back to court in Vermont.

Timothy David Miller was indicted May 12th for allegedly helping Lisa Miller abscond with her 9-year-old daughter, and will be arraigned today in federal court in Burlington.

Prosecutors say he helped Miller remove her daughter to Nicaragua in the midst of a custody dispute with Miller’s ex-partner Janet Jenkins, of Fair Haven. Timothy Miller is a Mennonite missionary, and was released on bail after his initial court appearance last month. Lisa Miller and Jenkins were joined in a civil union in 2000 but broke up after having the child.
