Hearing on streams classification cancelled

A public hearing on a proposal to add greater protection to the headwater streams in the Green Mountain National Forest has been canceled. Winter weather has prompted the Water Resources Board to cancel the two-day hearing in Killington. The petition to classify the streams as Outstanding Resource Waters was put forward by two environmental groups.
