The man who shot four people in Essex two years ago has been could get life in prison after being convicted of murder and attempted murder in the attacks.

A jury last night convicted Christopher Williams of gunning down his ex-girlfriend’s mother and a teacher at Essex Elementary School and wounding another teacher and a friend of his.

After four hours of deliberations, the Burlington jury rejected Williams’ insanity claim and returned guilty verdicts for murder in the deaths of Linda Lambesis and Mary Alicia Shanks. Williams was also charged with attempted murder in the shootings of Mary "Jenky" Snedeker and Chad Johansen.

Snedeker survived a gunshot wound and she says the verdict is a relief.
