A group of business owners in the Wilmington, which devastated by Tropical Storm Irene, are going to raise recovery money with an event they’re calling "floodstock."

On Friday and Saturday eight bands from three states will participate in a two-day music festival.

The event is being organized by brothers Steve and Chris Jalbert, co-owners of Aprés Vous, with John and Rachel Pilcher of The Wilmington Inn and Tavern.

John Pilcher says they wanted to find a way to save jobs and businesses in Wilmington. He says the community is lined with stores and shops that lost everything.

He tells the Brattleboro Reformer "floodstock won’t fix every shop or save all of Wilmington," but it could help some decide to stay in business.
