Four arrested for placing bombs in mailboxes

Four days after two home-made bombs were found in mailboxes in the Northeast Kingdom, police have arrested four suspects and charged them with the crime.

Twenty-year-old Corey R-Gadapee and 19-year-old Justin T-Mashell of Lyndonville and 22-year-old Michael Alger 22-year-old Marissa J-Norrie of Saint Johnsbury have been cited to appear in court on September tenth.

On Friday a bomb squad dismantled an improvised explosive device made of cleaning chemicals after the homeowner brought it to the West Burke post office. But a second bomb exploded in Saint Johnsbury.

No one was hurt in either incident.

The four suspects face felony charges of possessing and attempting to explode destructive devices.
